Chris & Amy's Wedding

Where/When/How/Why????  The answers to all your questions about the big day (we hope).

Our wedding is at 3:45pm on August 7, 2010.  The ceremony will take place on East End Beach, Long Island, Maine.
Guests will need to travel to Long Island by ferry boat (Casco Bay Lines) or privately owned boat.

For guests taking Casco Bay Lines Ferry: Please click on the below tourist map of downtown Portland to see the full-size version and directory for the Casco Bay Lines Ferry Terminal (R6) and nearby parking garages (P11-14). For guests staying at the Residence Inn, walking to the ferry terminal is very convenient.  For guests staying elsewhere, taxi cab is suggested, although driving and parking for the day is also feasible.

In order to make it to the beach in time for the ceremony we recommend taking the 2:15pm ferry. It departs the terminal at 2:15pm SHARP, so please arrive with time to spare!  Please look for the guest holding a "FULLER/DEUTSCH WEDDING" sign to collect your ferry tickets which will have been purchased in advance.  (The save the date ticket you received in the mail is not a real ferry ticket, we will hand out real tickets at the terminal!) All tickets are round trip tickets, so you will not need a return ticket.  Listen up for the ferry to announce boarding for Long Island (probably around 2pm). Enjoy the beautiful ride through Casco Bay!  The trip will take about 45 minutes and there will be 2-3 stops at other islands before you arrive on Long.  Don't worry, they will announce when you arrive at Long Island, and they will also announce whether you will be exiting the ferry on the upper or lower deck of the boat.

Once you arrive to the Long Island ferry dock, you will see a bus greeting you with another "FULLER/DEUTSCH WEDDING" sign.  Chub's bus will be providing transportation for all wedding guests to East End Beach where the ceremony will take place.  The bus may have to make more than one trip, so please be patient if you need to wait for the second round.  Chub's bus will also provide transportation back to the dock at the end of the evening.  Return ferry rides leave Long Island at 8:50pm and 10:15pm.

**If you want to take an earlier ferry to Long Island, please click on this link to see the Casco Bay Lines ferry schedule.  However, please note, ferry tickets will not be handed out for the earlier ferries and Chub's bus will only provide transportation to the wedding ceremony for the guests taking the 2:15pm ferry.**

Two weddings in one day!  Oh my!  There is another wedding on Long Island on August 7, 2010.  Please make sure that you board Chub's bus for the Fuller/Deutsch wedding on the EAST END.  We would hate for you to end up at the wrong wedding!

For guests taking privately owned boats: Please contact Mark Fuller regarding mooring/anchoring on the East End.  Please plan to arrive by 3:15pm to allow time for mooring and rowing into the beach in time for the ceremony to start!
