Chris & Amy's Wedding

What have we done since Friday, February 5, 2010?  Nothing but shovel snow, play with our dog, eat tons of food, watch old Arrested Development episodes, and start our wedding website.  The Washington DC area got hit with 25 inches of snow, the 4th biggest snowstorm in the region's history.  It was quite a scene, as you can see above.

Roscoe has been training to enter the Iditarod...if only we had known his affinity for leaping through the snow, we would have purchased a toboggan and harnessed him up in front of us to navigate the unplowed streets of the District.  It is 3 days post-storm, and we have yet to see a snow plow come down Quincy Place, NW.  So, we've been hoofing it around town...rescuing stranded motorists who thought it would be a good idea to slam on the gas pedal of their Ford Mustang in a foot of snow with 6 inches of ice below.

Our kitchen has been filled with the delicious smells of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, double dark chocolate brownies and carrot cake cupcakes.  Writing that down was the first time I thought, wow maybe too many sweets for one weekend?  Nah, you always need a sweet treat after playing for hours out in the snow!  Stay tuned...word on the street is that 5-10 more inches of the white fluffy stuff is headed our way tomorrow!!!!
